What We Believe:
We believe in the Triune God -- Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and the Gospel as
the power of God for salvation for all who believe. We believe that the
Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God,
inspired by God's Spirit speaking through their authors, recording and
announcing God's revelation centering in Jesus Christ. We believe the Church
to be a people created by God in Christ and sustained by the Holy Spirit,
called, and sent to communicate God's creative, redeeming, and sanctifying
activity in the world.

Becoming
a Member:
New members are received at Family of God on a New Member Sunday, typically
either in spring or fall. Your participation in a series of Sunday noon
get-acquainted sessions is part of the preparation for membership. This is a chance
for some current members and staff to meet you and for you to meet them and others joining
the congregation in an informative and relaxed session. Individuals or families are
also welcome to meet separately with the pastor or another staff member about any matters
of faith or church involvement. We celebrate new members joining the Body of Christ
in this place. We also celebrate the presence of friends of the congregation and
visitors not ready for the step of membership.Return to top |
