Confirmation/Youth Covenant & Medical Form

This form must be filled out along with this year's confirmation form.  It includes behavior guidelines and expectations, along with medical & emergency information for your child.  We will keep this on file at all times during confirmation and youth activities.  Friends and visitors attending youth activities will also be asked to complete a form.  The form will only need to be filled out one time during the school year.  Please let Kris Simon know if any contact or medical information changes during the year so records can be updated.

General Overview

Confirmation is for students in grades 7 - 9.  There is also a separate pre-confirmation class just for 6th graders.  Confirmation is an educational program of the church devoted to teaching the basics of the Christian faith and strengthening growing faiths so that the students can with integrity proclaim their faith in Jesus Christ and live it out in their lives. 

Confirmation is a partnership between Christian homes (the first and primary place where faith is taught) and the faith community, where youth are nurtured and supported by church staff and caring lay adults.  The confirmation program centers on Scripture and Luther’s Small Catechism, while a big group/small group format encourages varied styles of learning and promotes Christian community and mission.

The cost for Confirmation is $25 per child ($45 maximum per family).

Chat Room

Chat room resumes January 10, 2010 at 10:30 in the youth room. 

Abby Simon, DiAnna Olsen & Pete & Heidi Woods will rotate as leaders.

Chat room lasts for one hour and the time may be used as a credit toward confirmation worship notes.  Students may earn one credit for each chat room attended, with a maximum of 5 credits toward worship notes.
