Music News from David Sorkin

Greetings from the organ console! What a fantastic start to the year! I am very excited about the upcoming musical events at Family of God. You may have noticed that we have a few new singers in Chancel Choir – and what a great addition they are. The choir is hard at work preparing for our upcoming Advent Service of Lessons and Carols. This service, Sunday, December 7, will explore some lesser known Advent songs and readings. We are always looking for more singers – no experience needed! If you are interested, please speak with me.

Additionally, we are looking for instrumentalists of all types who will be willing to share their talents at the Thanksgiving Eve service this year. The service is Wednesday, November 26 at 7 pm. If you will be in town, please do not hesitate to contact me and we can work together to select songs and practice. Don’t forget, there is pie afterwards!
