Confirmation at Family of God is an educational programs devoted to teaching the basics of the Christian faith, and spiritual growth. The students can, with integrity, proclaim their faith in Jesus Christ and live it out in their lives. Confirmation is a partnership between Christian homes and the faith community and centers on Scripture and Luther’s Small Catechism. Youth are nurtured and supported by caring adult leaders and church pastoral staff. They develop and use their gifts in sharing the ministry of Christ’s church and our congregation. In fall of the 10th grade year, our students participate in the rite of Affirmation of Baptism. This profession of faith may be used at many times in the life of a baptized Christian, and is especially appropriate as the tradition that marks formation in faith in youth and a significant life passage for them.
